My eyesight experience with glasses
My first pair of glasses came when I was 7 years old for myopia and astigmatism; it started with a really low prescription, as far as I know I think it was about -0.5 each eye.
I remember I was wearing them all the time.
Later when I was 15-16 years old, prescription increased, I ended up having -1.5 both eyes.
As you may see, prescription going up not down. Still using them all the time.
Then, in my twenties new pair glasses again with new prescription and a new start with contacts. Does it sound familiar to you as well? More prescription and new glasses and/or contacts.
I have to say that it was comfortable for me wearing contacts, more freedom, more natural, you look more beautiful….but, was it for the eyes?
Then, one day I thought of having an operation to get rid of glasses and contacts, but deeper inside of me, it didn’t feel right to do that move.
I had the feeling as if it was too much for the eyes, later I realized that I was right; there are many side effects after that surgery.
While wearing contacts, sometimes I ended up with conjunctivitis, dry eyes; so again with the glasses.
Light bulb moment
Until one day, while on a trip to Italy with one of my friends a sentence came up to my mind: there must be a way to improve my eyesight naturally…
Afterwards synchronistic events started to happen: a book from William Bates; a weekend workshop and later I decided to start a training to be a Natural Vision Educator.
I have to say that I was committed to get rid of my glasses and through the training we were working on ourselves and the arising issues in order to get a better understanding later on with clients who would like to improve their own eyesight; it is a holistic approach to health.
The thing is that involves YOU to participate in your own process.
You are an active participant in your process and our duty is to guide you through different practices, which at the end are better vision habits that we forgot during our years wearing glasses.

When I finished my training, my life changed a LOT! In unexpected ways….but this one is for another post.
